Description
Learn practical, real life clinical skills to help you choose the best style of DAFO for your patient. Includes an overview of the DAFO Guide to Brace Selection, a handy resource tool you can use in helping you evaluate pediatric patients for bracing: choose a patient group, determine the patient’s level of involvement, and see the suggested brace styles that will best meet the patient’s needs.

Upon completion of this course, you will:
Know which gait deviations can be addressed through the use of custom Dafo orthoses.
Be able to use the DAFO Guide to choose a level of support appropriate to meet the needs and goals of a patient.
Be able to explain how a patient’s goals will be met by a particular brace design choice.
Be able to describe how the patient will move and/or be supported when wearing their DAFO.

CEU information:
This course is approved for 2(S) credits by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics. Participants must complete the final test with a minimum passing score of 80%. Cascade Dafo will submit names to ABC on a monthly basis.
