Description
A good cast is an essential component in creating the very best outcome for each patient. Learn techniques for capturing a patient’s best position of function in a cast. Also learn about saving time by sending in digital scans, including how to evaluate scan quality and how to use Cascade's online e-Orders system.

Upon completion of this course, you will:
  • Know that the position you cast in directly affects brace fit and function.
  • Be able to cast the patient in the patient’s best position of function. (As close to the ideal position of function as possible.)
  • Know the steps of the casting process.
  • Be able to evaluate your cast for cast quality and position accuracy.

  • Know which file formats Cascade accepts.
  • Know how to avoid scan defects.
  • Know Cascade’s scanning quality parameters.

CEUs:
This course is approved for 1.25(S) credits by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics. Participants must complete the final test with a minimum passing score of 80%. Cascade Dafo will submit names to ABC on a quarterly basis.
